The VS100 is a great option for high-density layouts to help reduce cycle times as it provides a flexible reach and large range of motion with its seven degrees of freedom. This robot's slim design is flexible and beneficial for automotive applications as it can use DC spot guns with compact servo actuators. It can result in shorter production lines, the elimination of multiple stations, and tinier spot welding workcells as it can be placed in close proximity to other robots.
The VS100 can carry a payload up to 100 kg (110 kg without the spot harness), has a 2,236 mm horizontal reach and a 3,793 mm vertical reach, with a ±0.12 mm repeatability. The spot harness is integrated to help reduce maintenance and facilitate programming. The E-axis was added to help create a virtual variable length L arm and provides the ability to reorient the manipulator axes without changing the gun position. This arm can also fold down into a very low profile.
