This robot is the strongest lifter in the FANUC family, with a payload capacity to lift 2.3 metric tons of product -- meaning it could easily lift an entire car and move it to a different area on the factory floor. Like other members of the FANUC M-2000 family, the M2000iA/2300 is able to perform a wide range of material handling applications, including machine tending, part transfer, machine loading, etc. It can also be used in material removal applications. The robot also gives manufacturers more flexibility in their handling applications. The IP54 (IP56 optional) rating means that the robot body is splash-proof and dust-proof, while the wrist and J3 axis are able to withstand even more dust or water with an IP67 rating. This means that the wrist can be immersed in water up to 1m, without malfunctioning. By choosing the IP56 rating for the body of the robot, manufacturers can use low pressure water jets for cleaning. While the footprint of the massive M-2000iA/2300 may take up some space (1540mmX1480mm), its controller does not. The robot comes with an A-cabinet model of the R-30iB controller, which means it is compact and stackable, which saves the manufacturer some room. It can even be placed under existing structures on the factory floor, like conveyors. The controller is also available in the larger B-cabinet upon request.
